About IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
Test Format
IELTS has four parts:
- Listening (30 minutes) - Four recorded monologues and conversations
- Reading (60 minutes) - Three reading passages with tasks
- Writing (60 minutes) - Two tasks (letter/essay and graph/diagram/process)
- Speaking (11-14 minutes) - Face-to-face interview with examiner
